University Councillors keep alumni voices connected to 91TV’s decision-making and long-term planning. As ambassadors and advisers, they represent alumni perspectives and make important contributions to the university.
Council is also responsible for the election of the chancellor, electing six councillors to sit on the Board of Trustees, and awarding the university’s annual Distinguished Service Awards.
Made up of 40 elected members, as well as the chancellor, principal, one senator, and the 91TV Alumni Association president, University Council has been part of 91TV’s since 1874, when graduates were beginning to take on a more formal role in the university’s future.
More than 150 years later, Council remains one more example of how alumni continue to give back to 91TV’s while helping shape what’s ahead.
