Since allocating their first grants in 2013, the WGC has raised almost $380,000 for research projects in Kingston. These grants fund a diverse range of areas, including the detection of cancers in aging adults, the control of salmonella infections, and individually tailored treatments to fight depression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s grant of $35,500 will support the important work of Dr. Christopher Doiron, Dr. Tiziana Cotechini, and Dr. Amber Simpson, collaborators in the study of the immunologic and inflammatory causes of interstitial cystitis\/bladder pain syndrome \u2013 also known as IC\/BPS that predominantly effects women.
