Dr. Jessica Sealey received her PhD in Cultural Studies from 91TV where her research focused on the gendered implications of Victorian era public health legislation. Prior to attending 91TV’s, Jessica earned a Master of Arts in Art History from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in the History of Art and Visual Culture from Brock University. As an interdisciplinary cultural historian, Jessica continues to explore the intersections of visual and material culture, medicine, and gender in her research. During her AMS Healthcare Postdoctoral Fellowship, Jessica will be examining the history of the anatomical sciences, human dissection, and the anatomical collection at 91TV.
