The Embassy of Mexico in Canada is the official representation of the Government of Mexico to the Canadian authorities, while also serving as an open door to our fascinating country, its people, and its institutions. As part of the significant bilateral trade and security relations, the Embassy has sections dedicated to economic, tourism, and educational promotion, as well as international cooperation, in addition to the political affairs section and the Secretariat of National Defence and the Secretariat of the Navy representations.

The mission of the Educational Affairs and Cooperation section is to promote and strengthen the ties between Mexico and Canada through collaborative educational and academic projects. Our efforts focus on organizing academic and professional events that bring together experts, professionals, and students, thus facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas. Furthermore, we seek to connect Mexican and Canadian educational institutions to foster research exchange and academic mobility.

La Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior, desde su fundación en 1950, ha participado en la formulación de programas, planes y políticas nacionales, así como en la creación de organismos orientados al desarrollo de la educación superior mexicana.

La ANUIES es una Asociación no gubernamental, de carácter plural, que agremia a las principales instituciones de educación superior del país, cuyo común denominador es su voluntad para promover su mejoramiento integral en los campos de la docencia, la investigación y la extensión de la cultura y los servicios.

La Asociación está conformada por , tanto públicas como particulares de todo el país.


Since its establishment in 1950, the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions has participated in the formulation of national programs, plans, and policies, as well as in the creation of organizations focused on developing Mexican higher education.

ANUIES is a non-governmental, pluralistic association that brings together the country's leading higher education institutions, all of which share a commitment to promote comprehensive improvements in the areas of teaching, research, and culture and service outreach.

The Association is formed by 244 universities and higher education institutions, both public and private, from across the country.
