    • privacy and security requirements

Timeline and feedback

Governance review process:

  1. Members of the Web Governance Committee review the site.
  2. Feedback provided within 2–3 weeks.
  3. Required revisions must be completed before launch.
  4. Preferred URL is discussed and approved.
  5. Site launch is scheduled.

The timeline depends on:

  • site size
  • complexity
  • number of required changes

URL Requests

You may request and/or confirm your preferred website URL during the go-live process.
URL approvals are based on:

  • 91TV’s domain name policies
  • existing university web structure
  • URL best practices

Website review considerations

  • Text is free of spelling mistakes
  • Content is free of broken links
  • Text adheres to 91TV’s writing style
  • Homepage explains the site purpose; includes strong positioning/marketing statement
  • Writing is clear and concise
  • Acronyms/initializations are defined
  • Content is optimized for web reading:
    • left aligned, F-pattern layout
    • sentences are short
    • paragraphs are short
    • important information is at top of page)
    • lists and tables are used effectively
  • Issues identified by the on-page Sa11y accessibility tool are resolved
  • Issues identified in Siteimprove accessibility report are resolved

Overall compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, legislated accessibility standard, including:

  • Proper semantic HTML is used, including structured headings
  • All images include meaningful alt text
  • Linked PDFs are accessible
  • Information is not conveyed by colour alone
  • Colour contrast is WCAG-compliant
  • Minimal use of ALL CAPS; when used, it is applied through text-transform attribute
  • Images are optimized for web
  • Image captions are descriptive
  • Copyright / permission is obtained for multimedia content
