Congratulations Jacob, both for finishing your undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics and joining us on an Accelerated Masters (together with the Shastri Lab), and for winning both a Vector Institute Fellowship and an NSERC-CGS M award, both to continue his work on quantum optical neural networks.
Congratulations to Professor Nir Rotenberg who is among the ten researchers recognized for their innovative research by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) under John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF). He will receive $150K towards his research for Active Quantum Photonic Technology.

Congratulations to Adam, who has received the prestigious NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship for his master's. Adam will be studying how to integrate quantum dots into photonic networks and how to optimize these networks to generate entanglement.
At the Quantum Nanophotonics Lab (QNL), we design nanoscale and microscale structures that control and shape the flow of light to enhance interactions with quantum emitters. Using this platform, we investigate, enhance and then work to exploit active quantum optical phenomena, for example to control individual photons or design novel quantum circuits. We are a highly interdisciplinary group, bringing concepts from quantum optics, solid-state physics, photonic engineering, and nanofabrication together using state-of-the-art experimental equipment.
