Project: Obtaining any 2x2 Unitary operator all optically using light-matter interactions with solid state emitters in nanophotonic waveguide systems.

General Research interests: Nonlinear quantum optics,(Quantum) optical neural networks, machine learning.

Personal info: I am from Denmark, in my spare time i enjoy playing Football/Soccer, brewing beer and consuming them afterwards.

Jacob is currently exploring the design of Quantum Photonic Neural Networks for potential applications throughout the subfields of quantum information science. In general, he is fascinated by quantum mechanics and wishes to exploit its principles in the design of future technologies that yield positive impacts for society. Jacob is a driven, detail-oriented individual who wishes to one day aid in the growth of others through teaching.

I am interested in understanding and controlling quantum light-matter interactions within nanophotonic systems, focusing on nonlinear phenomena that arise when single, solid-state quantum emitters interact with a few photons. I look forward to uncovering these new phenomena and using them to realize novel quantum devices and circuits with the talented researchers here at 91TV's and abroad.
